Nature
Colourless clear liquid or white crystal. Melting point 30-32°C, boiling point 232.5°C and flashing point>112°C. Relative density 1.033 and refractive index 1.4530. It will crystllize to monoclinic prisms and odourless when cooled, but has valerian smell when liquidating or in solution. Soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol,chloroform and so on.

Application
It is feedstock of organic syntheses, and used for synthesising medicines such as light solidifying-agent 184, anti-pregnant medicine 392 and medicine Praziqatel curing hematophagus.
