This product is the calcium salt of l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate. It belongs to folic acid family vitamins (vitamin B9, folic acid). It is a coenzyme form of folic acid. Calcium l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), a natural salt-forming methyl derivative of folic acid, is also known as l-methylfolate. It is the most biological activity and function form of folic acid, which is easier to absorb than ordinary folate.
