Purpose: in vitro studies show that nizonide has broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiparasitic effects, and can treat infections caused by helminths such as dysentery amoeba, Giardia lamblia, Trichomonas vaginalis, protozoa and campylobacter jejuni, Clostridium Chemicalbook, Bacillus perfringens, Helicobacter pylori and other bacteria. The effect of nizonide in the treatment of ascariasis and taeniasis in children is similar to that of albendazole and praziquantel.
