Brief introduction：Engglitazin is a new generation of SGLT2 inhibitor (type II sodium glucose transporter inhibitor). It was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in August 2014. It is used to treat adult type 2 diabetes with diet and exercise. "Engliptin" can reduce the kidney's ability to recover glucose back into the blood and excrete the sugar through the urine. It can significantly reduce the blood glucose level, kidney disease and cardiovascular disease risk, overweight and blood pressure. Different from other oral drugs currently used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, "engglijing" is the first SGLT2 hypoglycemic drug to complete the cardiovascular prognosis study.
